Dr Osvaldo Espinosa, Associate Specialist in Renal Medicine is based at the satellite unit.
Dr A Shurrab and Dr R Middleton, Consultant Renal Physician's are based at Hope Hospital, Salford but cover Bolton Satellite unit on a rota basis.

About the unit

The satellite unit is part of the West Sector of the Greater Manchester Managed Clinical Network with its centre at Hope Hospital. The Transplant Centre is situated in the East Sector of the Network at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Patients first dialysed at the Bolton Unit in May 2003 and the unit officially opened on 23 May 2003. There are currently 84 haemodialysis patients dialysing on 18 stations.
