The Tunbridge Wells Kidney Treatment Centre provides dialysis services and outpatient clinics. It has 20 dialysis stations and an additional eight self care stations for patients who wish to do some, or all, of their own treatment. It also offers home haemodialysis patient training and support for peritoneal dialysis patients.
The following clinics are held in the centre:
• early kidney disease assessment
• renal anaemia advice
• dialysis follow-up
• transplant follow-up
• surgical assessment
• pre-dialysis and transplant education sessions
• support for patients choosing treatment without dialysis
• dietitian advice and follow-up.
The centre is open from 7am to 8.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Several local bus services run close to the centre and it is a short walk from national rail services.
