The Elizabeth Ward Dialysis Unit is a large satellite dialysis unit developed to serve the needs of renal patients in Croydon. It is a satellite of the Epsom & St Helier Renal Unit and when opened in 2000 we had a total of 12 stations. The number of patients dialysing with us has grown dramatically over the last few years and in 2006 we completed an expansion programme to increase the number of stations to 23. At last count, there were 108 Croydon patients diaylsing with us.
Mayday Hospital serves the 350000 or so people who live in the London borough of Croydon. Renal services at Mayday are provided by a collaboration between Mayday NHS trust and Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust. In addition to 3 general nephrology clinics a week, we also hold weekly low clearance, diabetic-renal and hypertension clinics. |
