The Renal Unit was established in 1965, one of the first in the UK, at Wordsley Hospital near Stourbridge, West Midlands. In May 2005 it moved into a purpose-built unit at the new Russells Hall Hospital, close to Dudley.
Russells Hall Hospital is a large, new, privately financed General Hospital in Dudley, run by The Dudley Group of Hospitals NHS Trust (DGoH).The hospital is the principal site in the Trust, it provides ambulatory care and has more than 900 beds covering a wide range of medical, surgical and rehabilitation services.
The Renal Unit offers an extensive range of Renal Services. We are a growing department and have the capacity to expand further. Our multidisciplinarity team offers a focused, individual service to our patients.

There are 4 Consultant Nephrologists plus 2 SpRs who rotate within the region.
